As we already know the 3 big telecom operators in India have started offering 5G services. They are Airtel, Jio and VI(Vodafone & Idea). As per TRAI in September 2022, the telecom operators received 1.19Cr mobile number portability requests.
VI(Vodafone and Idea) has lost 40.11 Lakh users, while BSNL has lost 7.82 Lakh Subscribers in September 2022.
Meanwhile, Jio has gained 7.24 Lakh Subscribers during the month and Airtel has added 4.12 Lakh users. It seems Jio stands in the top position over Airtel. Bihar, Delhi and Jammu & Kashmir saw a massive jump in the number of users in September.
From the above results, we can say that Airtel and Jio have seen growth in gaining subscribers from the previous month. Continuing its lead Jio has a total market share of 36.66% in September 2022 and airtel came in the second position with a market share of 31.8%. VI(Vodafone and Idea) came in Third Position with a market share of 21.75%.
